Wanted color. Missed my Paperwhite.

The idea of having color on one of these things is great. I like reading without distractions, lying in bed at night. The Kindle gets that right, and I love it for that.

I also like reading manhwa and manga, so I thought the Colorsoft would be really useful for manhwa, which is in color. And seeing my book covers in color is incredible.

But actually reading on it didn't win me over. The colors aren't as nice as I expected. And what bothered me most was that reading in black and white looked quite a bit worse to me than on the Paperwhite: I notice a yellowish background and a sort of grainy texture that I find distracting.

I ended up with a device that adds something I wanted but makes what I already liked worse.

I don't recommend it. For color, I prefer how things look on an iPad or my phone. And for books, I'm sticking with the Paperwhite.
